Solar Liberty’s Environmental Impact
As a solar company, we’re in the business of educating individuals and organizations on how solar power can help reduce humanity’s outsize impact on the climate. Every switch to solar energy helps offset some of the carbon emissions created by electricity production, whether it’s a few panels on the roof of a home or a commercial-scale solar farm. Solar Liberty has installed over 4,000 solar photovoltaic systems, with 700,000 producing more than 170 megawatts of solar power — and that number will keep growing.
Our projects have a measurable environmental impact, with our largest installations offsetting thousands of tons of carbon monoxide per year. We’re proud to work with major New York organizations to bring clean energy to our communities. - PSEG Long Island: 34,272 panels offset 11,329 tons of carbon monoxide.
- City of Rochester Landfill: 7,866 panels offset 2,300 tons of carbon monoxide.

We are committed to fair-labor practices, sourcing the majority of our engineers and staff from New York institutions, and providing ample opportunities for blue-collar workers to develop the skills needed to transition to solid green-collar careers.

Solar Liberty Foundation was established to bring solar-based electrification to people living in poverty.
